Mr. Cutter

Welcome to science, everyone!

My name is Mr. Cutter and I'll be your science teacher. I just joined the AFSA team this year and I'm super excited to share my knowledge and experience with you all.

I have my Bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of Minnesota Duluth (Go Dogs!) and my Master's degree in teaching from the College of St. Scholastica (also in Duluth). I've been a teacher for five years, teaching grades 6 through 12 in every science from life science to physics!

I love science because it is a way of knowing about things. We start our lives as tiny scientists, exploring the world around us. My hope for all of my students is that they leave with a similar sense of wide-eyed wonder and the skills to explore the world in a systematic way. In class, we'll learn using hands-on activities and labs that get our minds and bodies working together to form understandings.

Outside of school, I enjoy music (playing it and listening to it), woodworking, cooking, art, and many other things.
