Testing: ACT/SAT

College Entrance Exams: ACT & SAT

Some 4-year college-bound students should take the ACT and/or SAT. The ACT is accepted at all colleges/universities in the nation and is the test most commonly taken by AFSA students. To find out which test is preferred by a particular college, check with the admissions officers, review the college’s website, or ask your counselor.

TO REGISTER ONLINEwww.actstudent.org  for the ACT and  www.collegeboard.com for the SAT. You will be asked to provide a testing code for AFSA High School. Our testing code for all tests is: 241-393.  The testing agency will communicate directly with you on items such as test location, test admission ticket, and any missing items or fees.

ACT Academy

ACT Academy is a free personalized online learning tool and test practice program. It provides learners with a personalized study plan based on previous test scores or platform diagnostics and features video lessons, interactive practice questions, full-length practice tests, educational games, and other materials targeted to a students' academic needs. 

Number2 ACT Prep

This free online resource is available for students to practice the ACT.  Students will create a log-in.  After logging in, they have access to tutorials, practice sessions, and vocabulary building activities.

PowerScore Test Preparation

PowerScore offers free ACT and SAT practice exams.  These are PDF files that you can print out and work through.

McGraw Hill ACT Test Practice

McGraw-Hill offers free web-based practice tests.  They include timed and untimed options in math, reading, English, and Science.  There are also mini-quizzes that you can try

Khan Academy SAT Test Prep

CollegeBoard owns and operates the SAT and PSAT.  They teamed with Kahn Academy to develop this free online resource.

PrepScholar ACT & SAT Test Prep

This is a you-pay online test preparation site for both the ACT and SAT. Students must register and PAY for an account.

This is a you-pay online test preparation site for the ACT, SAT, PSAT, and SAT subject tests (amongst others).    Students must register and PAY for an account.
