Track and Field Schedule 2023
Schedule is subject to last-minute changes.
Track and Field is a large team sport that includes many individual competitions at each track meet. Students can participate in short distance sprints such as the 100 meter and 200 meter, medium distance races such as the 400 meter and 800 meter races, and distance events such as the 1600 meter, or 3200 meter races. Each of these events can be run as individual events, or if enough students are interested, as part of a relay race. In addition to running events there are opportunities for students to compete in the high jump, long jump, and other throwing events. Attending practice regularly, and competing in scheduled events are required to participate in this sport. Athletes are expected to respect others at all times both on and off the court. This includes but is not limited to teammates, coaches, other staff members, rival teams, officials etc. Students will be expected to provide proper running shoes for practice, and running shoes for competition.
