Hello! My name is Cami Veldhuizen and I teach 3rd and 4th here at AFSA Elementary. This will be my third year at AFSA and my fourth year of teaching. I am originally from Green Bay and graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire in 2019. I'm very passionate about education and have wanted to be a teacher ever since I can remember. Some of my favorite things include the color yellow, reading a good book, practicing yoga, iced coffee, and my cat, Maggie! I am so excited for another great year!

My name is Michael Melling, and this is my 17th year as an educator and my 4th year at AFSA K-8! This year I will be commuting from Western Wisconsin.
I believe we learn best when we develop skills to direct our own learning, when we have choice in the topics and projects we pursue, and when we are encouraged to think deeply about our experiences and interact with our peers. I love teaching at AFSA where we can cultivate relevant skills and deep thinking about the world around us. When I'm not at school, I am usually hanging out with my family or working on a creative project around my house.
